HK Bank Account Setup & Pulse Card Application
Pre-arrival Preparation
Download the HSBC HK app before arriving in Hong Kong and apply for Premier Banking directly for pre-approval.
Timeline & Process
November 1: Arrive in Hong Kong and upload entry/exit PDF to activate HSBC account. Walk in to add signature (convenient for future account downgrade).
November 7: After moving the equivalent of HK$1.1M funds, apply for Pulse card.
November 11: Pulse card arrives.
Important Notes
This process has been verified by many people. If you want to apply for Pulse, move quickly.
Important: Don't open HSBC One when going to Hong Kong unless you have HK$7M. Otherwise, you won't be able to upgrade to Premier Banking. Currently, you cannot get approved for any credit cards without Premier Banking status.
